I cannot commend Alex too highly. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his desire to transmit his knowledge and ability shines through like a beacon. My son appears to have rediscovered his enjoyment of singing under Alex’s tutelage

I have been teaching privately and in schools for the past 9 years ranging from 6 and 7 year olds to adult pupils. These lessons are generally one to one although I am happy to do joint lessons if the circumstances are suitable. I have had good experiences with teaching online over Skype and am very happy to proceed with online lessons if preferred. I also offer musical video analysis for professionals which includes a full analysis of any recording from technical, musical and performance perspectives.

My teaching is rooted in technique and musicality. I seek to try and develop the basic understanding of what is happening when we sing. We will work through basic exercises each lesson which will adjust depending on the goals that we are working towards. These are often followed by songs you enjoy or some of my suggestions if you’re feeling a little lost. Although I believe that understanding of technique is important, I like to encourage people who want to sing recreationally and who want to feel more confident in their singing. Singing is primarily about enjoyment and I will always be happy to tailor any lesson to the wants and needs of the individual.

I am currently available to teach in Twickenham, London and am happy to travel a reasonable distance. Please contact me through the “Contact” Tab of the website.

Quinn has thoroughly enjoyed having you to teach him and you have restored his love of music
